Although based in Hampstead, Hertford is very relevant when it comes to the making of The Moment Trap – The Lennon Dream.

Steven A. Johnson, writer and director of The Moment Trap - The Lennon Dream, was born and raised in Hertford - the very streets he would later be shooting his first feature film in.

The soundtrack and score are both original. Hertford's own, Cedar Rose Johnson wrote 4 songs for the film and Rob Clydesdale, a well-known composer from Hertford, composed the complete original score for the feature film.

A lot of the cast and crew are Hertfordians also (including some members of HDOS (Hertford Dramatic Operatic Society) taking on supporting cast roles during shooting).

Steven has explained how: “I wanted to show the struggle that's in front of young people, particularly if they've gone through university and they’ve kind of done everything they’re meant to have done. The struggle still sits there in front of young people who are going out into the world and hoping that everything they've been told will come to pass. The reality, of course, is that it is not quite as it seems. It's a lot harder to actually move your life forward now in many ways.”
